WOW! What a DAY! The mail came with my Sindt Whistles. 5 custom made beauties. I figured if I was going to have to wait 8 months I might as well get a whole bunch. So I got a Eb, D, C, Bb and A. They are outstanding! I ordered them Nov. 30, 2002 and got them today, Ann Sindt was a pleasure to talk with(I called her amost every week to find out when they would be ready and she never got upset). My first impressions are that the Eb, D and C just pop, they are very responsive. I also agree with what Dale has written in his review. I’ve got a Burke Pro Session D and a Water Weasel D plus a O’Briain Improved (also some Generations that are not playable). I like the Sindt’s better. I bought the Sindt because of work John did to make it like a “good” inexpensive whistle and that Mary Bergin is playing them after being so loyal to Generations for so long. He hit the mark and Mary is not wrong. I’ve played the D and the C about 3 hours thru every tune I know at least twice, the biggest thing I noticed was the response and the comfort of the mouthpiece.
On top of the whistles I ordered a TuffBaggs Bb Whistle Bag on monday because I realised I didn’t have anything to hold the boys in. I had them sew 5 equal pockets(all of this from their website). It was $32.00 plus $8.00 shipping. It came yesterday! How cool is that? It really fits the whistles nice. www.tuffbaggs.com
I don’t post alot. I really don’t want to be too pushy. you know everybody’s got their opinions. It’s really fun reading about other people’s thoughts. I’m not certainly the last say on who makes good whistles. I’m just hoping the point would be to play what ya got.

Five of them arriving on the same day eh?- I’d be suffering from sensory overload! 
I have the ‘D’ and ‘Eb’ at present,and am currently waiting on an ‘A’ with additional ‘Bb’ tube(ordered feb '03).
The ‘D’ is good,but, like most folk,I find that I have to half hole to get a good Cnat.The Eb doesn’t have this ‘peccadillo’ (I’ll not call it a fault-hey,if half holings good enough for Mary Bergin…).
As you say,I think John has fulfilled his mission to produce a ‘Good Traditional whistle’.
What do you think about the Cnat on the ‘D’ whistle?
Also can you give me your thoughts on the ‘A’ and the ‘Bb’?
I think,if I remember rightly,that some folk have said that the ‘Bb’ is a little lacking in character-though if you’ve read the reviews of the ‘D’ opinions of it’s sound have varied widely from ‘very pure sounding to traditional and chiffy’.Descriptions of sounds can be quite subjective.

Kevin, I think the A and Bb are good but I havn’t played other whistles to compare them to. I’ll try to follow with a more comprehensive review later.
That’s too weird, man! I live at Meridian and Branham. And Dcrom lives off Camden, near Almaden. Man, we’re all neighbors. I eat breakfast every week at the Cup and Saucer in Princeton Plaza. Small world! Anyway, I already have way too many high end whistles, so I guess I won’t be stealing yours. Congrats on some good whistles there, guy!
