Hi, anyone have a replacement new/used flapper valve, or recommend where I would get one this week in the UK? The wooden socket in the bag is 5/8" and the brass socket on the bellows connector is about the same if generously bound/corked (about 11/16").
If you hemped a flapper to one end of a half inch od tube, and put hemp on the other end, it would work for you until you get a proper adaptor.

Then again, you might make a trip to the auto parts store and ask to see a selection of vacuum line caps. A moment with a craft razor and you might be able to convert to a ‘Kelleher/Hamon’ style one-way valve,
