32YO but feeling old, I need a rudallish help...

Felling a bit old those days, I was following this strange walking cane
on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120758012706

A part from the Big Nose… I like the silver piece that is in the middle..
which reads:
rudall rose and co.
patentees
38 southampton street
strand london
cartes patent

So IMO:
1’ option, someone really don’t like that parabola old silver R&R and turn it into a cane.
2’ option, the company experimented new wired products, same components but no holes.
or 3’ Mr Carte do loved walking canes…

I’m going to go with '1.

The workmanship, IMHO, doesn’t match the silver work.

Lol
I’ll go with n.1 too, the cane is not straight enough…

quite interesting to read R&R&Co.
and then Carte’s Patent …

those canes must be produced in a very short period of time LOL

Do I see a hole bored into the tip of the nose? Is that supposed to be the embouchure? I realise that the physics are probably all wrong for a working flute, but the phrase “blowing its nose” keeps coming to mind.

Somebody’s clever recycling idea for an old RR-C barrel?

but the phrase “blowing its nose” keeps coming to mind.

Man, thanks for the laugh
