We are delighted this year to welcome Mick O’Brien, Caoimhín O Raghallagh and Benedict Koehler as our guests. Spurred by Mick & Caoimhín’s recent CD “Kitty Lie Over”, they were this years obvious choice. Go to their website Kitty Lie Over to read reviews, hear sound clips and get inspiration.
This years event will be held in the McKeagney residence once again in the beautiful Spanish Mission town of San Juan Capistrano. Friday will be the usual meet and greet/session. Classes will be held during the day on Saturday and Sunday with a house concert on the Saturday evening.
Concert ticket price is $15. Full pre-registered tionól fee received by Oct. 15th to include classes and concert is $65, $75 at the door. To pre-register please send your check for $65 made payable to “So.Cal. Uilleann Pipers’ Club” to this address:

Mick and Caoimhín will be giving piping lessons, however if enough people are interested in Caoimhín giving fiddle lessons also please email me at and we'll see what we can work out.
Wow! It’s months away and you guys already have everything posted?
You are way too organized! We are green with envy.
I plan on being there again this year; last year was a blast!
I think you will attract a lot more musicians with the fiddle lesson, since some of my friends particularly mentioned that they wished you had them last year.
Can I make another suggestion, too, (if you do not already have EVERYTHING planned out ) that you have a short piping lesson on Sunday as well as on Saturday? (oops, I see you are already planning that!)
the bad thing about this tionol is that I’ll want a B set NOW!!! to practice up. I can hear it now, all us beginners all doing garrett barry’s/the black rogue/kesh/morrisons in B
At least we’ll be relatively low in volume
Hi Justine, I’m sure I’ll have some around… I’ll save one for you I am planning on getting into kegging by then so there should be a reasonable amount available… the odd gallon shall we say
Hup Fel… we’ll have to see about the name, I have a few in mind that I can’t reveal here for copyright purposes
I believe “D’Arcy’s” is already in use on some obscure Atlantic island, so you’ll have to come up something original (perhaps something that doesn’t require apostrophes).
I was thinking of making a brew for the tionol. perhaps we could each make somethng. I have a keging system for the beer. we just need to be able to keep it cool, but that is easy enough.
Unfortunately the kids and the wife seem to control my life. Would not give those kids up for anything. Any takers for my wife? Please.
