It is time, once again, for the nomination process in the Walden Award for Excellence in C&F Posting. Nominations will be received by secret ballot. Simply PM them to me by clicking on the PM button at the bottom of this post.
There is a slight change in the process, this year, in that the final results will not be decided unilaterally, but by use of the Board’s vote feature. I will select a group of finalists from those sent to me privately, and a time-limited poll will be taken, in order to determine the winner.
Guidelines:
•Any current member of the C&F Forums may be nominated.
•There shall be no more than one nominee per nominator.
•Posts from 6 January 2004 to 18 May 2005 shall be considered.
•Please include a link, for consideration, to a positive post by the person you are nominating.
Bloo for the “investigative journalism” category, for his uncovering of the legendary Spillane whistle, which looks strangely unlike the “Spillane” that Davy performs on.
An anonymous benefactor has donated the following whistles for the top three winners: a Susato low-D, a Weltmeister D, and an Alba Highlander D. To whom, among the top three, the Alba Highlander goes is at the benefactor’s discretion.
Nominations will be accepted for a few more hours, before the final poll is taken. In the event of a first-place tie, a run off will be held among the first place holders, with the lower being named second place, and third place, as necessary. In the event of a 2-person tie for second place, there will no 3rd prize be given, but two second prizes. Third place ties will be handled by a run-off vote.
