One of the top listed subjects of this forum is the perpetual listing of “don’t buy cheep or Pakistani flutes” . So what is with the advertisement of $149 blackwood 6 holer with case, at the top of the page? Are they any good? Are they indorsed by this forum? What gives. Should I buy one and if it plays well, sell it as a well playing flute for $300? Would it be wise to buy one and have a quality maker put 8 keys on it and trim up the embouchure and re-drill it for me own good flute? Who knows about these?
Everyone sees different ads. They’re placed by google, not this board, and what you see depends not only on the content of this page, but also on your IP’s track record with google–keywords you’ve searched, the links you’ve clicked on, the content of gmail messages you’ve sent or received, and the size of your p*n!s, etc.
Nelson, if you can hold it in your hands and try it, fine. I will say that I had managed to pick up a 20-year-old Lark in the Morning (imported) ebony flute off eBay that turned out to be a decent low-end player. Not sure I would trust any of recent manufacture without specific testimonials.
