I start work at 1:00 PM and work till nine.
Shouldn’t you be working, rather than reading and posting Robin?

fie on laundry. let the kids do it. I use the excuse that checking the latest C&F postings keeps me alert between sentence fragments when I’m writing.

my dad’s got his birthday. 
Alas not a Bank Holiday in England.
There’s a movement to bring us back in line with the rest of Europe and add three more Bank Holidays, bringing us from 8 to 11 every year, but then how would we slack off on those days?

I should be working, and have been most of the morning, but I need frequent coffee breaks for my mental health. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
Oh, I forgot. Not only is it NOT a bank holiday here, it’s been raining cats and dogs for days and this morning it’s snowing. hrmph

Personally, I think we need a cutie-pie Birdie Baby thread. Or a cutie-pie Sweet Snake thread. My pets don’t fit into the cat/dog categories, and I find it Highly Unfair. I think I shall protest.

Increased holiday activity is a sure sign of a decaying society!!! 
I can’t complain, really. At my place of employment we get 12 paid holidays a year, and since I’ve been here for 12 years I get six weeks paid vacation too (five regular vacation weeks plus one bonus Christmas week).
Now if I just had the money to do something FUN on all those days off!
I’m just never happy.

When I was in Denmark they got 4 weeks vacation right off the bat and 6 weeks not too many years later( I think one)
