REMEMBER
US IN YOUR WILL
Legacies are a valuable way of ensuring that the work of Chiff & Fipple can continue. Everyone should write a will and keep it up to date. Among your considerations having provided for your family and friends we ask you to make a legacy to Chiff & Fipple. This will keep us in a steady flow of whistles, whistle-related CDs, and, of course, interns. Flying and maintaining DaleForce One is not cheap, nor is our secret network of headquarters/lairs.
If you already have a will and wish to make a legacy to Chiff & Fipple an amendment or codicil can easily be made by contacting your lawyer/solicitor/podiatrist..
Why make a will?
If you die without leaving a valid Will the law decides what happens to your estate. Your family, friends and partners will not automatically inherit all of your estate. Should you die without leaving a will and you have no spouse or surviving relatives the state is entitled to keep everything.
A will can be made at any time and is best done by an attorney/solicitor.
Different types of legacy
Pecuniary – a specified amount of money. Rises in inflation can drastically reduce the final value of a pecuniary legacy.
Residuary – after remembering family and friends with any specific gifts you may wish to leave some of the residue to charity. This is not affected by inflation.
Conditional – the charity should benefit of any or all of your beneficiaries should die before you.
Reversionary – if you choose to leave something e.g. a house, to a friend for their use during their lifetime it would revert to your selected charity on their death.
Specific – a specific item e.g. property, jewelry.
