I may be wrong but i am sure this was sold by Patrick Olwell last year i seem to remember the non original Eb/D# key. The band he played in must have played with low pitch 440 flutes as this is a low pitch model.

The F flute in a Corps of Drums or marching flute band is used primarily to play a counter melody, when the B Flat is used to play the main melody. In Larger bands sometimes their will be a F Part 1 and F part 2. Their are many f flutes about, most marching bands played in High Pitch but in the 70's...

Ok here goes in mm total 489mm ring to ring 180mm from centre of blowhole to center of first tone hole the serial is 9006 i think

I had an Eb version of this and it could certainly bark, i also have it's little brother the Eb Piccolo which is a dream to play. Maybe someday i'll buy one in d :sniffle:

I would give a kidney if i could get an Eb high pitch R Carte piccolo been searching for years had an ebonite Eb Low pitch piccolo and it was a beast that i got for 30 pounds, not too sure where the sellers gets the buy it now price form :-?
